Business Development Manager: SADC HPI & Print - (JHB) - #572-10

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on the SADC region's print sector.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with Sales Managers, Account Managers, and Product Managers to drive targeted brand or category sales and meet key sales and product objectives. You will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with assigned customers and partners, including the vendor, Tarsus, and the sales teams.

Your expertise will be critical in building a strong sales pipeline, fostering valuable partnerships, and driving the success of our print solutions across the SADC market.

Requirements:

Educational

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualification preferred; Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management would be advantageous.

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in product and account management in Print.
  • Good track record in achieving revenue and gross profit targets.

Skills

  • Good understanding of the ICT industry and the ability to keep up with Technology and Industry Developments.
  • Brand-specific knowledge of products and processes.
  • Understanding of the Distributor / Partner landscape.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • Sales skills and technical knowledge.
  • “Hunting” approach to sales.
  • Excellent communication skills; presentation, written and verbal.
  • Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically advanced skills in Excel.

Responsibilities

Achieve sales targets

  • Plan approach to achieving allocated targets every quarter, using knowledge of market dynamics and client insights to inform sales strategy.
  • Develop and manage the SADC pipeline.

Maintain and develop good customer relationships

  • Identify means of engaging with clients in order to build sound relationships.
  • Identification of new potential customers to grow and enable them.

Oversee service delivery

  • Comply with order processing guidelines whilst negotiating time frames and pricing with the client.
  • Coordinate implementation of large scale “roll-outs” by liaising with the relevant internal resources to ensure that all aspects of the implementation have been catered for according to client requirements.

Operational administration

  • Assist Re-sellers with pricing and contractual information to inform their tender processes.
  • Check that accounts are up to date, highlighting money outstanding as appropriate.

Vendor / Brand requirements

  • Meeting training and vendor certification requirements.
  • Comply with vendor specific requirements regarding reporting, pipeline management and forecasting.

  • This is an office-based position in the Woodmead branch.
