Requirements:

Educational

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualification preferable: A+ and N+ or National Diploma in Information Technology or Electronics.

Experience

  • 5+ years technical experience in the IT industry.

Skills

  • In depth product knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Strong planning and organising skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, specifically advanced skills in Excel.

Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Technical Support

  • Address technical requirements by responding to queries and building solutions using relevant information sources.
  • Match competitor solutions with in-house equivalents, considering variables like integration with older technology.

Technical Service

  • Troubleshoot technical issues via phone and in-office repairs, liaising with vendors when necessary.
  • Provide technical advice to stakeholders and support problem resolution, including site visits when needed.

After-Sales Support

  • Guide customers on solution implementation and fault resolution, referring them to appropriate providers.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures during guarantee periods.

Design Technical Solutions

  • Develop tailored technology solutions by analysing client needs, location, and other factors.
  • Recommend efficient and practical solutions considering broader technological implications.

Product Knowledge Facilitation

  • Enhance knowledge through presentations and training workshops for stakeholders and new staff.
  • Leverage online resources and technical documentation to prepare training content.
