Sales Commercial Big Deal and Bid Manager (JHB) - #605-03

Are you a dynamic dealmaker with an unyielding determination to excel? Do you thrive on structuring and sealing lucrative deals? If so, we want you to join our team as we transform our Commercial and Bid Office.

 

As a Commercial and Bid Manager your primary responsibility will be to spearhead the negotiation and closure of RFPs, tenders, and significant commercial agreements. Working hand in hand with internal sales teams, vendor channels, sales executives, and end-customers, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our business forward.

 

We are looking for someone who can develop our dedicated reseller partners and service providers to enable hyper growth in deal-based end-user computing. This includes developing and selling creative solutions around end-user compute and services.

Educational

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

 

Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Product / Account Management
  • Good track record in achieving revenue and gross profit targets

 

Skills

  • Good understanding of the ICT industry and the ability to keep up with Technology and Industry Developments
  • Brand specific knowledge of product and processes
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Understanding the Supply chain, ROCE and Working Capital terms for our 3 (three) main vendors
  • Distributor / Partner understanding
  • Understanding of product to a level that you understand what products to use to win tenders based on minimum requirements and specifications.
  • Existing Vendor and partner relationships
  • Full understanding of SITA process, listing of items and SITA price lists.
  • Proficient in MS office suite, specifically advanced skills in Excel.

Responsibilities

Bid and Tender Management

  • Lead the end-to-end bid management process, from opportunity identification to submission.
  • Develop high-quality, competitive proposals and RFP responses.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical, and finance teams to ensure compelling, commercially viable bids.
  • Ensure compliance with bid requirements and customer expectations.

 

Commercial Strategy and Deal Structuring

  • Drive the structuring, pricing, and negotiation of complex deals.
  • Develop commercial models and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks in deals and contracts.
  • Optimise margin and revenue growth through innovative deal-making approaches.

 

Vendor and Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and service providers.
  • Work closely with reseller partners to enhance their capability and growth potential.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive end-user computing solutions and services.

 

Sales Enablement and Market Expansion

  • Support internal sales teams with deal strategy, customer engagement, and value proposition development.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the existing market and adjacent verticals.
  • Analyse market trends and customer needs to inform bid strategies.

 

Contract Negotiation and Compliance

  • Negotiate and finalise commercial contracts with customers and partners.
  • Ensure all agreements comply with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage contract renewals and amendments as needed.
