Product Manager: Targus - (JHB) - #549-08

Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to join our Accessories business unit.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the distribution process for allocated products. You will play a key role in driving sales growth, managing vendor relationships, and optimising stock efficiencies.

The role involves managing individual brand annual budgets and sales growth plans, meeting key performance areas (KPAs), and overseeing sales, profit, stock management, and stock turns, including working capital days and various ROFI measurements.

Requirements:

Education

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • A tertiary qualification is preferable.
  • Technology certified – carry all vendor certifications.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • IT/Technology product management experience.
  • Good understanding of the distribution landscape.
  • Work experience at distributor/reseller level.

Responsibilities

Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

Demand Planning

  • Accurately forecast demand and manage inventory levels to meet customer needs while minimising excess stock.

Pricing Management

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.

Maximise Stock Efficiencies

  • Optimise stock management processes to improve working capital days and Return on Funds Invested (ROFI) measurements.

Market Development

  • Identify and capitalise on market opportunities to drive product growth and brand presence.

Sales Support

  • Work closely with the sales team to provide them with the tools, information, and support they need to achieve their targets.

Self-Development

  • Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth to enhance your skills and contribute to the success of the team.
