
Warehouse Supervisor - TD - Namibia

Purpose of the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and manage our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining efficient and effective warehouse processes, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The Warehouse Supervisor will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory management, implementing safety protocols, and leading a team of warehouse personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Oversee the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures.
- Regularly conduct cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of inventory transactions.
Operational Efficiency
- Streamline warehouse processes to enhance overall efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize workflow.
- Implement best practices for order picking, packing, and shipping.
Equipment Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment.
- Schedule regular inspections and repairs.
- Coordinate with external service providers for equipment maintenance.
Communication
- Maintain clear and open communication channels with team members and other departments.
- Provide regular updates on warehouse activities and performance.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by team members.
Problem Resolution
- Identify and address operational issues promptly.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to find solutions.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
Housekeeping
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the warehouse.
- Address cleaning requests or concerns promptly.
- Ensure that workstations are organized and free of clutter.
Health and Safety
- Enforce safety regulations, protocols, and compliance standards within the warehouse.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for warehouse staff.
- Keep emergency exits and pathways clear of obstacles and clutter.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.
Experience, Qualifications, Skills, and other Requirements
- Matric Certificate.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) – Scale knowledge and experience.
- Familiarity with (ERP) – Embrace knowledge and experience.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehousing.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a Fast-paced and dynamic warehouse environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and towards cut-off hours and daily targets.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to lift and move packages of varying weights.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Physical fitness and stamina for standing, walking, and lifting throughout the workday.
- May involve working during non-standard hours, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Comfortable working in various temperature conditions.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with standard business hours (some flexibility may be required).
- May be required to work overtime occasionally depending on business needs.

- Reliable transport.
- This is an office-based position in the Namibia branch.
- Local and regional travel required as needed.
