Tarsus
appoints Traci Maynard as Dell head
24 August 2009
Tarsus Technologies has announced that Traci Maynard has been appointed
as the general manager of its Dell business unit.
“Traci has been involved in the technology space for more than 15 years
and has spent over ten years in the Tarsus fold. We therefore feel she’s
the perfect person to drive awareness and interest in the newly-acquired
Dell portfolio,” says Pierre Spies, CEO of Tarsus.
Maynard’s experience is widespread and covers the printing, imaging,
notebook, desktop and networking arenas.
“Over the past decade she has proven herself instrumental in driving
previously new agencies, such as Acer and Cisco into the channel and
building a solid foundation and loyalty for those products. Tarsus has
no doubt she will do a sterling job with the Dell brand,” Spies adds.
Over the coming months, Maynard looks forward to achieving the same
success for Dell as she achieved for Acer and Cisco when those products
were new brands in the Tarsus stable.
“Dell is a big account for us and it covers all realms – from retail,
to SMB, corporate and enterprise. There’s also the fact that the products
within the portfolio cover multiple bases, from desktops to notebooks,
servers, storage arrays, printers, projectors, monitors and even networking
equipment,” she says.
“Its end-to-end coverage of the market coupled with its leadership status
in many of those markets means that it will be a challenging, but exciting
brand to represent.
“I look forward to bringing the full weight of Dell’s product line-up
into the Tarsus fold and exposing our channel partners to the benefits
this brand has to offer,” she concludes.
