Tarsus Technologies has announced the signature of a new distribution
agreement with LG Electronics, which sees the company becoming licensed
to supply a comprehensive selection of LG products to the South African
reseller channel.
While the agreement gives the distributor access to a wide range of
LG products, Darryl Squara, divisional head at Tarsus says his company
will initially focus on LG's LCD monitors and projectors. "This fits
well into our strategy of only carrying the leading brands available
in the South African market," Squara continues.
"By adding the LG name to the LCD line-up we already have on board from
its major competitor, Samsung, we now carry the lion's share of the
top brands covered locally.
"The ability for us to offer resellers access to the two leading names
in LCD is also a strong draw-card - we are delighted to be able to provide
resellers with a portfolio of LCD products this compelling," he says.
On the projectors front, Squara says that LG joins another well-respected
brand, namely Acer, in the Tarsus portfolio.
"With the addition of LG to the mix of projector brands we cover, we
feel that we have the business sector well covered. We're in a truly
enviable position when it comes to the vendors we have in our stable
today," Squara adds.
Shane Kennedy, national sales manager for IT products at LG Electronics
South Africa says that his company is delighted to be doing business
with the MB Technologies group, since it gives his brand access to a
group of loyal and professional resellers.
"As the biggest proponent of the MBT group's local distribution presence,
we believe our relationship with Tarsus will yield awesome results,"
he concludes.
